FAA examinations

An FAA examination is required for anyone who wants to fly an aircraft independently. Without a valid certificate, you are not legally entitled to fly an aircraft. We provide class 1, 2 and 3 examinations.

    • Medical history in combination with physical examination
    • Biometrics (height, weight, waist circumference and blood pressure)
    • Urine test
    • ECG (cardiac test at rest)
    • At the age of 35
    • From the age of 40, annually
    • Standard eye test
    • Lung function test (peak flow)
    • Standard ENT (ear, nose and throat) examination
    • Audiogram (annually)

At various locations in the Netherlands

The Aviation Medical Center has several locations throughout the Netherlands. At all these locations you can go for a medical or psychological examination. One exception is the Rijswijk location. Only medical examinations are held there.
