LAPL(B)

LAPL(B) examinations are suitable for balloon pilots. A balloon pilot is responsible for the safety of all passengers. To perform this function properly, a medical examination is required for balloon pilots.

    • Medical history in combination with physical examination
    • Biometrics (height, weight, waist circumference and blood pressure)
    • Urine test
    • Blood test (HB) on indication
    • Standard eye test
    • Lung function test on indication
    • Extensive ENT (ear, nose and throat) examination on indication
    • Cholesterol analysis (on indication)

At various locations in the Netherlands

The Aviation Medical Center has several locations throughout the Netherlands. At all these locations you can go for a medical or psychological examination. One exception is the Rijswijk location. Only medical examinations are held there.
